HALF-CENTURIES from Christy Millar and Tomas Foreman saw Swindon 2nd triumph in their derby against Nationwide House in Division One, taking the spoils by seven wickets.

Nationwide were able to set a total of just 170-9 off their 45 overs before Millar (54 not out) and Foreman (50) mounted a successful run chase for Swindon, passing their target in the 35th over of the reply to finish on 172-3.

Swindon move up to second in the table behind leaders Potterne 2nd after they thumped bottom side Box by nine wickets.

Three wickets each for Gedeon Charles and Milan Perera saw Box bowled out for 144, and a hefty second-wicket stand between Chris Penhaligon (69 not out) and Josh Hodder (63 not out) saw Potterne chase that down in just 22 overs.

Hinton Charterhouse drop down to third after a three-wicket defeat away at Bear Flat.

Batting first, Charterhouse posted 202-6 off their 45 overs, with Dave Catlow (54) and Toby Goodman (45) leading the way.

Opener Mark Gunning then spearheaded the Bear Flat reply, scoring 72, aided by 45 from Rob Wilson, as the visitors reached a winning 203-7 with 10 balls to spare.

Division Two

JAMES Bartlett narrowly missed out on a century but had the consolation of guiding Biddestone 2nd to a 152-run victory at home to their Warminster counterparts.

Opener Bartlett scored 97 and alongside Tim Knight (67) helped the home side post 258-7 as Alex MacDonald took 4-52 for Warminster.

Mark Unwin's brilliant 4-12 and 3-14 from Harry Beazer then restricted the Warminster reply to 106 all out, Richard Davie top scoring with 30.

Swindon NALGO remain at the top of the table after Pardeep Nagi's 6-37 inspired them to a 99-run victory at home to Beckington.

NALGO set a total of 238-8 as Prashant Joshi (62) and Zaheed Abbas (58) led the way with the bat, while Rory Kelly took three wickets for Beckington.

That score always looked out of reach for the visitors and Nagi's heroics saw them bowled out for 139 in reply.

Jamie Baden's century set up just a second win of the summer for Swindon A as they beat visitors Beehive Southwick by 109 runs.

Baden scored 121 of Swindon's 274-7 before the home side bowled Beehive out for 165 in reply.

Leigh Rodgers' 6-19 for home side Lacock helped inflict a seven-wicket defeat on Swindon United Churches.

Churches made just 105 all out in 33 overs and Chay Forester's unbeaten 51 ensured the run chase was a simple one, with Lacock needing just 16 overs to reach a winning 107-3.

Division Four

UNBEATEN leaders Trowbridge 2nds were too strong for Combe Down, with Ryan Salter's maiden century setting up a 43-run success on home turf.

The efforts of Salter (104) and Matthew Dicker (86) saw Trowbridge compile an imposing 271-5.

In reply, Andy Hulbert (59) and Ramkumar Vijayakumar (45) kept Combe Down in the hunt but their run chase ultimately fell short on 228-7.

Division Five

MELKSHAM fought back from a tough start to record a four-wicket win at home to Goatacre 3rd and remain top of the table.

Fielding first, Gary Ings and Chris Long claimed three wickets apiece but a brilliant 117 from Peter Turner saw Goatacre reach 201 before they were bowled out.

Thomas Wallis (39) and Matt Hunt (26) knuckled down at the start of the Melksham reply, but when both were dismissed by Gareth Powell (3-31) in the same over, Goatacre had route back into the match.

Russ Collins (43) and Chris Singh steadied the ship, with the latter’s unbeaten 51 seeing Melksham past the winning post, finishing on 202-6 with eight overs to spare.

Josh Penfold's superb figures of 6-18 were in vain for Royal Wootton Bassett 34d as they were thrashed by 155 runs when they hosted their Biddestone counterparts.

Biddestone batted first and despite Penfold's heroics, scored 250-9 as Christopher Meggs (54), Ed Carver (50) and Joe Panes (48) all made solid contributions.

The visitors had an equally impressive bowler when they took to the field as Martin Hewitt's 5-14 saw the Basssett reply skittled for just 95. Hal Stringer also claimed three wickets.

Division Nine

BIDDESTONE 4th were unable to defend a below-par total as Chippenham 5th claimed an eight-wicket win on the road.

Chris Barrow took 4-26 for Chippenham to help bowl Biddestone out for 133 before Jack Rumble's unbeaten 68 was the backbone of a successful run chase, as the visitors finished reached a winning 139-2 inside 29 overs.
