WILTSHIRE put themselves in a promising position as they virtually overhauled Cornwall's first innings total on day one of their Unicorns Championship Western Division clash in St Austell yesterday.
The visitors were set to resume this morning at 191-5, having dismissed the home side for 193 on the opening day.
South Wilts seamer Luke Evans took 4-64 as Cornwall, who had won the toss and elected to bat, were all out inside 49 overs.
There were also two wickets each for Tahir Afridi and Joe King as Cardiff MCCU bowler James Turpin hit a Minor Counties Championship career-best knock of 75 and Sam Wood added 44
Openers Steve Bullen (47) and Will Wade (31) got Wiltshire's reply off to a solid start by putting on 75 for the first wicket.
Skipper Ed Young added 47 and Bradley Dawson was unbeaten on 33 at the close
