Beanacre entertained previously unbeaten leaders, Avebury on Saturday determined to avenge a very heavy defeat on the opening day of the season.
Beanacres innings got off to a bad start losing a wicket in the third over, with only six on the board.
The loss of this wicket didn't stop Beanacres progress & Stu Wakeley & Ben Brown started to take control. The both passed 50 with little trouble & looked set for big scores. But with Brown looking to push the run rate on Brown was stumped for 72 after a partnership of 164.
Wakeley soon followed for an impressive 94 to a ball that kept a little low.
The rest of the Beanacre batting fell away some what, apart from Paul Drew who fell to the last ball for 20. Beanacres innings closed on 220-8.
When Beanacre bowled they got off to a great start with Brown taking a wicket with the first ball.
From that point apart from a 40 run partnership between Fry & Blake, the Avebury batsmen struggled against a pacey attack.
Robbie Howard was the pick of the bowlers & finished with 5 for 34 off 12 as Avebury were all out for 101, leaving Beanacre winners by 119 runs.
