CHIPPENHAM have signed defender Alex Stanley from Nationwide Conference South club Yeading until the end of the season.
The former Reading and Swindon Town trainee joins his namesake Nathan as the latest addition to Darren Perrin's squad.
Stanley also had trials at Exeter City, Weston-super-Mare and Farnborough Town before joining Yeading, where he has made nine starts in this campaign.
The 22-year-old has good footballing pedigree and his finest hour came when Yeading played Newcastle in the third round of the FA Cup at Loftus Road in January.
Perrin said he was pleased to have Stanley on board for the 2006 fixtures.
"Alex has signed a contract until the end of the season. He's a left sided centre half who can also play at left back or left wing.
"He gives us a few more options which will make us stronger going into the new year and he will be in the squad for Tuesday.
"There have been quite a few changes in personnel over the last few weeks and I'm looking to bring in another new face before the Bath match.
"It's important that we continue our impressive form and build on our solid start to the season."
