DEVIZES Ice Maidens were defeated 24-10 by newly-formed Warminster Wolves.
Warminster opened up with two tries, centre Matilda Turaga and full-back Millie Fenton-Brown touching down and skipper Laura Ridgers-Steer converting once.
Wing Laura Green and Ridgers-Steer added further scores, Claire Loftus adding a conversion.
Devizes fielded two new players, Alice Bowerbank and Lauren Walker, who scored her side’s opening try.
Devizes’ scrummage was rock-solid with Cat Parker and Kate Stradling in the engine room.
Bryony Hutchings, making a fine debut in the back row, added a second score.
