BOXING: Blackwell title fight lined up for March

Trowbridge's Nick Blackwell is set to make the long-awaited first defence of his English Middleweight title in front of his home crowd in May when he finally takes on Leicestershire's Martin Concepcion.

The 21-year-old, who became the youngest-ever English title holder when he won the belt by beating Harry Matthews in November 2010, will go toe-to-toe with challenger Concepcion (18-9) on March 3 at Trowbridge's Civic Hall.

The bill is set to be dominated by local fighters, with Liam Richards, Aaron Fox, Dan Carr, Dan Blackwell and Bradford on Avon debutant Liam Hudson all being lined up to feature on the undercard.
