DARREN Perrin claims his Frome Town side have proved they can mix it with the top teams in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division after their draw with league leaders Brackley Town last weekend.
Mike Reaney’s spectacular injury-time volley, his first-ever goal for the Robins, cancelled out Elliot Sandy’s strike and earned the Robins a share of the points.
“We’ve drawn at Leamington and Chippenham and now had two draws against Brackley – I think it shows that on our day, we’re a match for anyone in this league,” said Badgers Hill boss Perrin.
“What my players gave me on the day was outstanding.”
Frome have signed Corsham Town winger Aaron Ledgister on dual-registration forms and Perrin added: “We’ve lost two wingers and he will provide some great competition there.
“You don’t play for Cheltenham Town in the football league and Bath City without having the ability but it’s up to Aaron now to prove just how good a footballer he is.
“I’ve agreed to try to help out Trevor Rawlings (Corhsam manager) and if they want him to play a midweek match when we haven’t got one, then I’m more than happy for that to happen.”
At the end of last week, Kyle Tooze re-joined Mangotsfield United, despite an approach from Swindon Supermarine.
Frome travel to Bashley tomorrow.
