BRADFORD Town assistant manager Mike Edwards said his side’s draw with Roman Glass St George last weekend felt like a defeat, despite Town coming back from 3-0 down to earn a point.
Bradford were punished for a slow start to the game and found themselves with a mountain to climb after Nathan Churchill, Mikey Golding and Andrew Hamilton-Dunn all netted for the visitors inside the first 20 minutes. Town roared back with a brace from Matty Cooper and a Matt Minnis strike levelling the scores but the visitors held on to earn a share of the spoils.
“We were caught cold and they had three shots that they scored early on,” said Edwards.
“We got one back before half-time and when we ourselves level in the second half, that winning goal just wouldn’t go in.
“We had bodies in the way of our shots and ones cleared off the line.
“You might have been happy to come back from 3-0 down but it felt like a defeat at the end.”
Dan Shanley and Kieran Baggs return for tomorrow’s trip to Welton Rovers.
