Bluebirds boss Adie Mings has revealed that he is hopeful of bolstering his injury-hit side with a new face at the beginning of next week.
Chippenham saw their clash with Bashley fall foul of the elements today but with the meeting provisionally rescheduled for Tuesday, Mings is hoping to complete the capture of a new player on Monday.
The Bluebirds had as many as nine first-team regulars struggling with injuries ahead of today's game and the Hardenhuish Park chief said: "We're working on getting someone in and hopefully that can be done on Monday.
It'll be a permanent signing and someone we think can add to the squad."
Today's postponement saw the Chippenham squad earn a rare day off and Mings addedd: "Obviously, you'd rather play football matches but, weather-permitting, we should be playing on Tuesday.
"It does give us that extra few days' rest and I'll be speaking to the players to make sure they're all ready to go on Tuesday night."
