CHIPPENHAM TOWN: Bluebirds snap up Evans

Chippenham Town have signed former Bath City and Newport County midfielder Richard Evans.

The 28-year-old former Wales U21 international, who began his career as a trainee at Birmingham City and has also featured for Sheffield Wednesday, has linked up with the Bluebirds after plying his trade for Welsh Division One side Aberaman Athletic since the beginning of the season.

Evans could come in to the injury-hit Chippenham squad for tonight's re-arranged clash with Bashley at Hardenhuish Park, provided the games passes a final pitch inspection by the match referee at 1pm this afternoon.
