FOOTBALL: Rawlings hoping

TREVOR Rawlings hopes he won’t have to wait too much longer to have an opportunity to figure out his strongest line-up.

The Southbank boss has been dealing with a host of injuries and unavailabilities so far this season and has his fingers crossed that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

“We always knew that the last month or so would be difficult with people away and that the end of September would be when people would start coming back,” said Rawlings.

“It would be nice to be able to pick what I think is my best 14 and see what happens from there. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do that soon.

“We want to try and get ourselves back on track and we did want to get all three points on Saturday but after what happened, we have to be happy with a point.”

Craig Gingell scored a late equaliser as Corsham rescued a point.

The visitors took a first half lead and went 2-0 up through Liam Brown’s own goal but Darrin Moss pulled a goal back before Gingell volleyed home.

Corsham host Cribbs Friend Life this weekend without the unavailable Matt Windle and the injured Ben Moore while Gary Blackwood is a doubt. Kane Kauppinen could also be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Mark Gerrish is available after his honeymoon while Matt Jenkins could return.
