COMPETITORS found mixed sport in the Calne match fished at Hazeland on Sunday.

Home matchman Simon Fear carried off top prize with 9lb of chub, finishing ahead of Kevin Williams, from Chippenham, with 8lb 10oz of chub and dace.

Brian Johnson, of Calne, took third with 6lb of chub and dace.

Other placings: 4, Tim Carr, Calne, 5lb 10oz; 5, Trevor Payne, Corsham, 2lb 7oz; 6, Martin Dolman, Calne, 1lb 12oz 8dm.

TODBER Manor was in prime form for Sunday’s Wilts Angling Open match where Stuart White, from Chippenham, reeled in a superb catch of 223lb 14oz of carp for a comfortable victory.

Nick White, from Gillingham, was runner up with 169lb 2oz of carp, followed by Nathaniel Johnson, from Melksham, with 148lb 4oz of carp.

Other placings: 4, Pete Neate, Holt, 146lb 10oz; 5, Matt Skyrme, Trowbridge, 124lb; 6, John Atkins, Trowbridge, 107lb 4oz.
