CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEW: Brunel bid to for first win
1:00pm Friday 19th October 2012 in Sport
CHIPPENHAM-BASED FC Brunel are currently the only side in S.K. Fruits Limited Chippenham Sunday League Premier Division yet to register a point this season.
Adam O’Keeffe’s side will look to put that right this weekend when they host Bug & Spider at Stanley Park.
Brunel have struggled to come to terms with life in the top flight since being promoted from Division One having finished last term in fourth place.
Leaders Biddestone Social will lock horns with AFC Melksham for a second successive week and, having snatched a 3-2 win last Sunday, Dan Lardner’s side will be out for another win which would give them a three-point lead over the chasing pack.
Melksham, who came from two down last week, will be hoping for a better start and that they can take their hosts to the edge once again.
Another close game is predicted but once again Biddestone are tipped to take maximum points.
Westbury Rangers will be hoping that they can finish a game with 11 players on the park when they host FC Colerne at Meadow Lane this Sunday.
Westbury have received five red cards in their last three games and they need to improve their discipline or Colerne could make them pay dearly.
What should be a good game has a good chance of finishing all square, but if Colerne are on form they could leave Westbury will maximum points in the bag.
