CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE PREVIEW: Red-hot Jordan gunning for more goals
2:00pm Friday 19th October 2012 in Sport
BRADFORD Renegades, currently top of Division One, will be looking towards their in-form centre forward Sam Jordan to provide the goals that will help them complete a league double over Biddestone White Horse.
Jordan, who has netted 32 times in seven league and cup games, scored a hat-trick when the teams met at the end of September.
Renegades won that game 5-3 and will be confident of winning for a second time. With Jordan on fire at the moment you wouldn’t bet against a Renegades win wit ha few more goals coming from the 22-year-old.
Steeple Ashton Rangers will be bidding for their first win in three games when they visit Bromham (Sunday) and will be favourites to take the points as they look to reignite their promotion hopes.
Bromham shouldn’t really have a look in but should Ashton take things too easy they could come undone.
A win over North Star A in their previous league match and a 7-1 cup success over Kings Arms (All Cannings) last weekend looks as if Castle FC have at last rediscovered some form.
Their revival will be given the sternest of tests when they host Corsham United at their Sands Lane base.
Corsham will have the upper hand but if Tom Perkins side are at full strength then the home team may just nick a points from their guests.
FC Boroughs are a long way from the team they were last term with the Malmesbury-based side struggling to find any consistency since the start of the season.
Bottom of the table North Star A are next up for Boroughs and Liam Westland’s side, although not setting the division alight, may just fancy their chances of getting at a point from their trip to Sherston, especially as their hosts have shipped 13 goals in the last two games.
