THE Airsprung Open match fished on Sunday on the Beehive stretch of the Kennet & Avon Canal saw Dave Baker, from Trowbridge, win with 8 lb 2 oz of roach and skimmer.
Matt Oliver, from Trowbridge, was runner up with 5 lb 2 oz of roach and skimmer as Dave Stone, from Trowbridge, finished third with 5 lb 1 0z 8 dm of roach and skimmer.
Other placings: 4. Mark Lloyd Frome 4 lb 14 oz; 5. Dean Adams Bradford 4 lb 1 oz; 6. Vic Bush Bradford 1 lb 15 oz.
WEIGHTS were well below their best in Sunday’s Wilts Angling Open match fished at Viaduct Fishery as John Atkins, from Trowbridge, carried off top prize with 73 lb of carp.
Kevin Rowles, from Devizes, took runner up spot with 44 lb 3 oz of carp, while Jim Butcher, from Bradford, was third with 43 lb of carp.
Other placings: 4. Stuart White Chippenham 41 lb; 5. Roland Lucas Frome 40 lb; 6. Robin Guy Melksham 30 lb 4 oz.
DAVE Halliday from Swindon enjoyed a fine day in the Ivy House Tuesday Open match, his all-carp catch of 104 lb giving him a runaway victory.
Mick Rosier, of Royal Wootton Bassett AVC, was a distant runner up with 24 lb of carp and silvers, followed by Eddy Marsh, of Ivy House, with 8 lb 6 oz of carp and silvers.
Ivy House Fishery’s Saturday Open was won by Elick Payne, from Calne, with 50 lb 1 oz of carp and silvers.

Jerry Cambridge, of Ivy House, was runner up with 43 lb 4 oz of carp and silvers with Frank Domachie third with 21 lb 10 oz of carp and silvers.
The silvers prize went to Mick Gale, of Chippenham, with 21 lb 6 oz.
THE Tuesday Open match at Acorn Fishery was won by Ian Cole of Over 55s with 49 lb of carp and silver fish.
Mark Owens, of Sensas Thyers, was runner up with 44 lb of carp and skimmers, followed by Mark Chapman, of Over 55s, with 39 lb 14 oz of carp.
The silvers prize went to Andy Gard of Alcove AC with 39 lb 14 oz.
Other placings: 4. Eddie Wynne Over 55s 38 lb 7 oz; 5. Dave Wride Sensas Thyers 34 lb 0 oz; 6. Marl Poppleton Trowbridge 24 lb 1 oz.
