CHIPPENHAM’S Stuart White chalked up another fine win at the Wilts Angling Open match at Viaduct Fishery, reeling in 185 lb of carp, writes COLIN SCULL.
Ian Willetts, from Bradford, was next with 138 lb of carp, followed by Steve Gardner, from Chippenham, with 132 lb of carp.
Other placings: 4. Kevin Rowles Devizes 124 lb 0 oz; 5. Sean Rhodes Trowbridge 110 lb 0 oz. 6. Rob Kepner Melksham 104 lb 0 oz.
THE Thursday Wilts Angling evening match at Leech Pool went to Darren Fletcher, from Melksham, with 62 lb 14 oz of carp.
White was second with 27 lb 4 oz of carp, followed by Mark Poppleton, from Trowbridge, with 26 lb 8 oz of carp.
BILL Turner, from Trowbridge, won last Friday’s Airsprung evening match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Avoncliffe with 7 lb of roach and skimmer.
Kelvin Oliver, from Trowbridge, was next with 4 lb 2 oz, followed by Phil Eggleton, from Bradford, with 4 lb.
Other placings: 4. Mick Withy Westbury 3 lb 13 oz; 5. Dave Morrison Trowbridge 3 lb 10 oz; 6. Vic Abbott Bradford & Dean Adams Bradford 3 lb 4 oz.
THERE was a close finish in Sunday’s Airsprung match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Airsprung as Matt Oliver, from Trowbridge, clinched top spot with 9 lb 8 oz of roach and skimmers.
Dean Adams, from Bradford, shaded runner up spot with 9 lb 3 oz with Oliver of Trowbridge just an ounce behind.
Other placings: 4. Vic Abbott Bradford 8 lb 1 o\z; 5. Alan Hiller Westbury 6 lb 4 oz 8 dm; 6. Bill Turner Trowbridge 6 lb 4 oz.
TODBER Manor was in prime form for Sunday’s Wilts Angling Open as John Atkins, from Trowbridge, won with 157 lb 13 oz of carp.
Pete Neate, from Holt, was next with 150 lb 6 oz and Steve Tucker, of Garbolino Blackmore Vale MG, third with 141 lb 11 oz.
Other placings: 4. Brad Roberts Yeovil 132 lb 0 oz; 5. Nathaniel Johnson Melksham 122 lb 8 oz; 6. Ian Willetts Bradford 122 lb 8 oz.
