Martin Dolman of Calne was third with 12 oz of perch.

THE Avon Angling Tuesday evening match on the Avon at Portman Road saw Robin Guy, from Melksham, carry off top prize with 10 lb 14 oz of roach, skimmers and perch , ahead of Bob Ryan with 10 lb 6 oz of perch, skimmers and eels.
Gary Williamson, from Devizes, was third with a7 lb 15 oz of roach and perch.
Other placings: 4. Alan Brown Swindon 3 lb 3 oz; 5. Andy Pratten Melksham 3 lb 2 oz.
THE Trowbridge Open match on the Bristol Avon at Staverton went to Kevin Grant, of Trowbridge, with 11 lb 11 oz of bream and perch.
Gary Etheridge, from Devizes, took 8 lb 2 oz of bream and perch for secnd, with Bernie Blythe, from Trowbridge, third with 7 lb 8 oz of chub.
Other placings: 4. Pete Mills Chippenham 5 lb 15 oz; 5. Steve Martin Frome 5 lb 8 oz; 6. Gerry Lugg Beckington 5 lb 7 oz.
COMPETITORS enjoyed first class sport in the Thursday evening Wilts Angling Open match at Leech Pool as Tony Gilbert, from Melksham, took 85 lb 12 oz of carp for the win.
Ian Willetts, from Bradford, was runner up with 82 lb 4 oz of carp and Pete Neate, from Holt, third with 75 lb 8 oz of carp.
Other placings: 4. Ken Rayner Bristol 57 lb; 5. Darren Fletcher Melksham 52 lb.
THE Friday Airpsrung evening match at Rood Ashton was won by Mark Poppleton, from Trowbridge, with 112 lb 8 oz of carp.
Richard Whitmarsh, from Frome, was second with 108 lb of carp, with Kevin Fricker, from Trowbridge, third with 54 lb 2 oz.
The series overall winner was Kevin Hanson, from Trowbridge with 38 points.

EDEN Vale hosted the Wilts Angling Open match on Sunday as Tim Martin, from Frome, took 46 lb 5 oz of carp and skimmers to win.
Pete Neate, from Holt, was next with 44 lb 8 oz of carp and skimmers, followed by Ian Willetts, from Bradford, with 41 lb 8 oz of carp and skimmers.
Other placings: 4. Dave Bancroft Trowbridge 31 lb 12 oz; 5. Stuart White Chippenham 28 lb 12 oz; 6. Howard Adams Devizes 28 lb 4 oz.
ELLIS Lake was in good shape for Sunday’s Lavington match, which was won by Joe Sheppard, from Frome, with 81 lb 8 oz of carp.
Matthew Pearce, from West Lavington, was runner up with 61 lb 6 oz of carp and bream and his grandfather Graham drew the next peg and was third with 48 lb 10 oz.
Other placings: 4. Oliver Keates Hilperton 40 lb 0 oz; 5. Terry Fell Devizes 42 lb 12 oz; 6. Tony McCarthy Marlborough 30 lb 12 oz.
TOP honours at Sunday’s Trowbridge match at Staverton went to Gary Etheridge, from Devizes, with 7 lb 14 oz of roach and hybrids.
Vic Abbott, from Bradford, was next with 7 lb 4 oz of roach and small chub.
Steve Martin from Frome took third with 4 lb 10 oz of roach and bleak.
