THE West Tackle Open match at Viaduct Fishery went to Mark Poppleton, from Trowbridge, with 188 lb of carp, ahead of Steve Ince, from Trowbridge, with 137 lb 13 oz of carp.

Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, was third with 133 lb 4 oz of carp, followed by Roland Lucas, of Wilts Angling, in fourth with 123 lb 7 oz.

SUNDAY’S Airsprung match on the Bristol Avon at Bradford Golf Course was won by Steve Green, from Trowbridge, with 12 lb 4 oz of bream and roach.

David Benger, from Trowbridge, was second with 4 lb 10 oz of roach and Rob Benger, from Trowbridge, third with 3 lb 14 oz of roach.

Other placings: 4. Bill Turner Trowbridge 3 lb 13 oz; 5. Phil Eggleton Bradford 3 lb 7 oz.

SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open on the Bristol Avon at Conigre and Beanacre went to Liam Braddell, from Chippenham, with 12 lb 2 oz of roach.

Nick Lofy, from Calne, was runner up with 8 lb 13 oz of roach, followed by Nigel Smith, from Calne, in third with 8 lb 6 oz of roach, bleak and gudgeon.

Other placings: 4. Alan Hiller Westbury 5 lb 10 oz; 5. Mick Withy Westbury 5 lb 4 oz; 6. Steve Saunders Melksham 5 lb 2 oz.

DAVE Bancroft, from Trowbridge, chalked up another good win at Sunday’s Lavington match with 142 lb 8 oz of carp.

Dave York, from Bradford, was runner up with 90 lb of carp and Andy Jones, from Devizes, third with 76 lb 8 oz of carp.

Other placings: 4. Pete Neate holt 53 lb 10 oz; 5. Tony McCarthy Marlborough 52 lb 8 oz; 6. Don Keates Hilperton 37 lb.

THE Tuesday Open match at Ivy House Fishery was won by Justin Ogbourne, of New Century, with 41 lb of carp and silvers.

Mick Rozier, of Ivy House, took runner up spot with 38 lb 8 oz of carp and silvers, followed by Robin Cope, of Ivy House, with 31 lb of carp and silvers.
