Andy Jones, from Devizes, was second with 11lb of roach, followed by Kevin Morris, from Devizes, with 7lb 6oz of roach.
Other placings: 4. Don Keates Hilperton 3lb 4oz; 5. Chris Brown Worton 2lb 11oz; 6. Mark Easy West Lavington 1lb 5oz.
THE Wilts Angling Open match at Rood Ashton on Sunday went to Mark Harper of Preston Innovation Thatchers with 174lb 8oz of carp.
Stuart White, from Chippenham, was next with 114lb 10oz of carp, followed by Pete Neate, from Holt, with 107lb.
Other placings: 4. John Gardner Chippenham 99lb 2oz; 5. Jim Butcher Bradford 88lb 12oz; 6. Ian Willetts Bradford 72lb 2oz.
THE Bristol Avon at Staverton was in good form for Sunday’s Trowbridge match, which was won by Gary Etheridge, from Devizes, with 20lb 7oz of roach.
Sean O’Neill, from Melksham, was runner-up with 11lb 4oz of roach and chub, followed by Pete Mills, from Chippenham, with 11lb.
Other placings: 4. Marcus Crook Melksham 10lb 11oz; 5. Alan Hillier Westbury 8lb 0oz; 6. Kevin Grant Trowbridge 4lb 11oz.
THE Airsprung match at Merritts Lake on Sunday saw Andy Fox, from Hilperton, take top spot with 147lb 11oz of carp.
Steve Musitano, of Trowbridge, was next with 90lb 14oz of carp, followed by Tom Ince, from Trowbridge, with 77lb 8oz.
Other placings: 4. Kevin Hanson Trowbridge 52lb; 5. Steve Southern Trowbridge 33lb 8oz; 6. Bill Turner Trowbridge 29lb 15oz.
THE Calne match at Bowood Lake was won by Tim Carr with 52lb 4oz of roach and skimmers, ahead of Martin Dolman, who took 45lb of tench and roach. Chris Smith was third with 44lb 6oz of roach and skimmers.
Other placings: 4. Richard Faithful Newbury 43lb 8oz; 5. Nigel Smith Calne 36lb 12oz; 6. Elick Payne Calne 32lb 3oz.
SUNDAY’S Calne match at Christian Malford went to Nigel Smith with 12lb 12oz of roach and perch, ahead of Dolman with 8lb 14oz of roach and perch.
Nick Lofy took 5lb 8oz of roach for third.
