SUNDAY’S inter club event between Airsprung and combined RBL & Post Office on the Bristol Avon at Barton Farm saw RBL/Post Office take team honours with 44 lb 10 oz to Airsprung’s 30 lb 9 oz.

Individual honours went to Patrick Jay, of Airsprung, with 15 lb 3 oz of chub and roach.

Bill Turner, of Airsprung, was runner up with 10 lb 8 ozof bream and roach.

He was followed by Richie Hawkins, of Post Office, with a 9 lb 12 oz of roach and carp.

Other placings: 4. John Pinkett RBL 7 lb 4 oz; 5. Alan Maggs RBL 5 lb 8 oz; 6. Roger Green Airsprung 4 lb 14 oz.

FISH were hard to tempt in Sunday’s Avon match on the Bristol Avon at Melksham where Nigel Smith, from Calne, carried off top prize with 8 lb 7 oz of perch.

Nick Lofy, from Calne, was runner up with 6 lb 13 oz of perch and Dave George, from Salisbury, was next with 5 lb 1 oz of perch.

Other placings: 4. Bob Ryan Melksham 4 lb 5 oz; 5. Steve Trevitt Salisbury 3 lb 7 oz; 6. Andy Pratten Melksham 2 lb 10 oz.

THERE were consistent weights in the Wilts Angling Open match fished at Eden Vale on Sunday.

Dean Adams, from Bradford, captured top prize with 31 lb 6 oz of skimmers, followed by Pete Neate, from Holt, in secnd spot with 19 lb of skimmers.

Dave Bancroft, from Trowbridge, was third with 17 lb of carp and skimmers.

Other placings: 4. Paul Sims Frome 16 lb 4 oz; 5. Jim Butcher Bradford 16 lb 0 oz; 6. Tim Martin Frome 15 lb 4 oz.

THE Tuesday Open match at Ivy House Fishery saw top spot go to Dave Halliday, from Swindon, with 70 lb of carp and silvers.

Mick Rosier, of Ivy House, took runner up spot with 56 lb 8 oz of carp and silvers. Paul Dressler of Ivy House clinched third prize with another carp and silvers catch weighing 54 lb 12 oz.
