In-form Devizes star Gary Etheridge carried off another good win in the Thursday Open match at Viaduct Fishery, taking 186 lb of carp.

Competitors in the Trowbridge Seniors match enjoyed good sport at Cuckoos Rest on Tuesday.

Pete Craig, from Devizes, won the Trowbridge Seniors Tuesday match at Cuckoos Rest with 28 lb of carp, roach and skimmers, ahead of Jim Escott, from Melksham, with 23 lb of roach, skimmers and perch.

Bernie Ryan, from Devizes, clinched third with 17 lb of roach and skimmers.

Other placings: 4. John Blackmore Lavington 13 lb 13 oz; 5. Roger Green Trowbridge 11 lb; 6.,Gordon Haywood Lavington 8 lb.

SUNDAY’S Chippenham match at Pockeridge was won by Ian Liddell, from Chippenham, with 26 lb 2 oz of carp, followed by Shane Belcher, from Calne, with 24 lb 5 oz of carp, roach and perch.

Martin Dolman, from Calne, was third with 23 lb 6 oz of carp, roach and perch catch weighing 23 lb 6 oz.

Other placings: 4. Kevin Williams Chippenham 16 lb 3 oz; 5. Tony Scott Trowbridge 13 lb 9 oz; 6. Guy Manners Chippenham 11 lb 9 oz.

SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Devizes was won by Dave Bancroft, from Trowbridge, with 7 lb 4 oz of roach and skimmers.

Mick Martin, from Trowbridge, was runner up with 7 lb of roach and skimmers.

There was a tie for third place between Pete Neate, from Holt, and Dean Adams, from Bradford, with 5 lb 8 oz of roach and skimmers.

THE Lavington Senior/Junior match on Sunday at Baldham Mill went to Michael Brown, from Worton, with 3 lb 6 oz of roach, dace and gudgeon.

Graham Pearce, from West Lavington, was runner up with 3 lb 3 oz of roach, dace and gudgeon catch, followed by Chris Brown, from Worton, with 2 lb 10 oz of roach, dace and gudgeon.

Other placings: 4. Kevin Morris Devizes 2 lb 7 oz; 5. Mark Easey West Lavington 2 lb 1 oz; 6. Don Keates Hilperton 1 lb 11 oz.
