John Blackmore, from Lavington, was next with 29 lb of carp and bream and Ernie Jones, from Trowbridge, was third with 28 lb 8 oz.

RODE'S Ben Ludwell clinched the Leech Pool Open match with 103 lb of carp, ahead of Bradford's Ian Willetts (98 lb) and Holt's Pete Neate (67 lb).

HEAVY boat traffic affected weights in the Airsprung Evening match on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Tithe Barn as Richard Whitmarsh, from Frome, won with 6 lb 13 oz of roach and skimmers.
Phil Eggleton, from Bradford, took runner up spot with 4 lb 8 oz of roach and skimmers, with Oliver Keates, from Hilperton, third with 2 lb 9 oz 8 dm of roach and skimmers.

SUNDAY'S Wilts Angling Open match at Eden Vale was won by Matt Skyrme, from Trowbridge, with 80 lb of carp and bream.
Holt's Neate was second with 68 lb of carp and skimmers and Tim Martin, from Frome, was third with a carp and skimmers catch weighing 65 lb 8 oz taken on method feeder fished pellets.
Other placings: 4. Ian Willetts Bradford 26 lb 15 oz; 5. Paul Sims Frome 24 lb 5 oz; 6. Rob Kepner Melksham 20 lb 2 oz.
LEECH Pool was in good form for the Sunday Airsprung match as Whitmarsh took his second win in three days with 127 lb 8 oz of carp.
Steve Ince, from Trowbridge, took 92 lb 14 oz for second, followed by Andy Fox, from Hilperton, with 61 lb 4 oz of carp.
