COMPETITORS in the Wilts Angling Open match had mixed sport at Viaduct Fishery on Sunday.
Top honours went to Kevin Rowles, from Devizes, with 157 lb 12 oz of carp.
Roland Lucas, from Frome, took runner-up spot with 83 lb of carp and Geoff Matthews, from Trowbridge, clinched third spot with 67 lb of carp.
Other placings: 4 Jim Butcher (Bradford) 64lb 2oz; 5 Pete Neate (Holt) 56lb 1oz; 6 Richie Tomala (Melksham) 48lb 5oz.
MERRITTS Lake produced good sport for the inter club match between Lavington and Airsprung on Sunday.
Airsprung took team honours with 76 points to Lavngton’s 42.
Individually, Tom Ince of Airsprung won with 81 lb of carp.
Dave Yorke, of Lavington, took runner-up spot with 60 lb 2 oz of carp, while Ryan Herd, of Airsprung, clinched third with 51 lb 8 oz of carp.
Other placings: 4 Andrew Fox (Airsprung) 39lb 4oz; 5 Tony McAlan (Lavington) 39lb 0oz; 6 Alan Gibbs (Airsprung) 33lb 10oz.
