Oakford tops at Rood Ashton
INTERMITTENT sunshine and heavy showers made fishing difficult in the Ravens
AC match fished at Rood Ashton on Sunday and weights were well below their
best.
Barry Oakford, of Trowbridge, won with a carp catch weighing 17lb 4oz, taken
on feeder-fished red maggots. Kevin Hanson, of Trowbridge, took second prize
with another carp catch weighing 13lb 12oz, also taken on feeder-fished red
maggots.
Similar tactics gave third prize to Steve Southern, of Trowbridge, with a
mixed catch of carp and roach weighing 12lb 3oz.
Other placings: 4 Wayne Henley, Trowbridge, 10lb 13oz; 5 Craig Brooks,
Trowbridge, 10lb 10oz; 6 Barry Brooks, Trowbridge, 8lb 8oz.
