Scull to stand down as NFA regional secretary
LONG-SERVING regional secretary Colin Scull is standing down at tomorrow's
annual meeting of the South West and South Wales regional council of the
National Federation of Anglers to be held at Fry's Club, Keynsham, starting
at 10 am.
Scull, who writes the weekly angling column for the Wiltshire Times and
Chippenham News, said: "It is with some sadness that this will be my
swan-song as the regional secretary having decided to retire from active
role within the NFA after a total of 43 years.
"I would like to thank all local clubs for their wonderful support over many
years and wish the organisation well for the future.
"I am quite sure that it will go from strength to strength, for anglers need
a strong governing body to protect their interests and the NFA has performed
this role for over 100 years."
