Matthews wins Wilts Angling open match
WEIGHTS were fairly even in the Wilts Angling open match fished at Colkin
Farm on Sunday. Jeff Matthews, from Trowbridge, won with a carp catch
weighing 85lb 12oz, taken on feeder-fished red maggots over pellets.
Ian Willietts, of Bradford, made it a great weekend by finishing second with
a carp catch weighing 78lb, taken alternating with pole and feeder fished
pellets. Pete Neate, from Holt, was third with a carp catch weighing 76lb,
taken on feeder-fished pellets.
Other placings: 4 Dave Bancroft, Trowbridge, 64lb 5oz; 5 Mick Martin,
Trowbridge, 61lb; 6 Fred Eagles, Trowbridge, 59lb 8oz.
