In-form Smith hits the jackpot
IN-FORM Jamie Smith, of Frome, hit the jackpot again in the Viaduct Fishery
open match.
Smith, of Haines AC, took a carp catch weighing 120lb 9oz, fishing with
waggler-fished pellets. Maver Veals young star Josh Garrett was second with
a carp catch weighing 101lb 9oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. He was
followed by Brian Curry, of Street, with a carp catch weighing 90lb 1oz,
taken on pole-fished pellets.
The silver fish prize went to Paul Greenwood, of Sensas Viaduct, with a
mainly tench catch weighing 66lb 5oz, taken on pole-fished casters.
Other placings: 4 Tony Ford, Avon Angling, 82lb 2oz; 5 Nigel White, RN and
RM, 77lb 8oz; 6 Graham Webber, Preston Innovations Thatchers, 76lb 10oz.
