Macey takes top honours at Westerleigh Lakes
THE Dynamite Frys MG match fished at Westerleigh Lakes produced reasonably
even fishing.
Top honours went to in-form John Macey, of Dynamite Frys MG, with an
all-carp catch weighing 54lb 8oz, taken along the margins on pole-fished
paste for a comfortable win.
Paul Ratcliffe, of Dynamite Frys MG, was second with a carp catch weighing
2lb 12oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. Ray Cooper, of Dynamite Baits, used
identical tactics to finish third with a carp catch weighing 8lb 12oz.
Other placings: 4 Dave Harvey, Dynamite Frys MG, 23lb 10oz; 5 Dave Coles,
Daiwa BAC, 22lb; 6 Mike Fergusson, Dynamite Frys MG, 21lb 6oz.
The Dynamite Frys MG event at Acorn Lakes produced consistently even
catches.
Jason Bird, of Dynamite Frys MG, won with a carp catch weighing 78lb 14oz,
taken on pole-fished pellets fished down the margins. Chris Wills, of Daiwa
Bristol AC, was a close runner-up with a carp catch weighing 72lb 8oz, also
taken on pole-fished pellets.
He was followed by Gary Bedford, of Sarfix SW, with a carp catch weighing
68lb 11oz, taken alternating with pole-fished sweetcorn and pellets.
Other placings: 4 Paul Cooper, Dynamite Frys MG, 62lb 4oz; 5 Paul Ratcliffe,
Dynamite Frys MG, 48lb 6oz.
