Willietts finds winning formula
THE Wilts Angling open fished at Viaduct Fishery on Monday produced some
excellent weights.
Ian Willietts, of Bradford, won with a carp catch weighing 154lb 2oz, taken
on waggler-fished pellets. Nathaniel Johnson, from Melksham, was second with
another carp catch weighing 151lb 15oz, taken on straight lead-fished
pellets. Rob Kepner, from Melksham, was third with a carp catch weighing
112lb 6oz, taken on waggler-fished pellets.
Other placings: 4 Dave Baker, Trowbridge, 87lb 6oz; 5 Paul Cooper, Melksham,
86lb 15oz; 6 John Atkins, Trowbridge, 77lb 12oz.
Second win for in-form matchman
ROOD Ashton was in good form for the Wilts Angling open evening match on
Thursday.
In-form Bradford matchman Ian Willietts chalked up another good win with a
carp catch weighing 108lb 3oz, taken on pole-fished paste.
Jamie Smith, from Frome, was second with a carp catch weighing 98lb 8oz,
also taken on pole-fished paste. He was followed by Gary Etheridge, from
Devizes, with a carp catch weighing 60lb 14oz, taken on pole-fished pellets.
Other placings: 4 Andy Eagles, Trowbridge, 59lb 10oz; 5 Fred Eagles,
Trowbridge, 55lb 15oz; 6 Dave Bancroft, Trowbridge, 46lb 6oz.
