BATH have announced several changes to its senior management structure, with chairman Bruce Craig becoming executive chairman from September 1.

Chief executive Nick Blofeld will step up to a wider group role, taking over responsibility for a number of key projects, including a focus on the potential Rec redevelopment.

Craig will be assisted by head coach Mike Ford and David Thompson (performance sirector), while Tarquin McDonald (finance & strategy director), will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the non-rugby side of the business.

Craig said, "I am very proud of the progress made by Bath Rugby under Nick's direction over the last five years and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for all he has done for the club to date.

"I am delighted that, in his new role, he will continue to focus on a number of key projects, including the potential Rec redevelopment, the on-going development of Farleigh House and support for the Bath Rugby Foundation.

"I am very much looking forward to next season and I am confident that we will see all our hard work bear further fruit in the seasons ahead."

Blofeld added: "I have been privileged to lead a great club over these last few years and to set it in the right direction for long term success.

"'m now looking forward to concentrating even more on trying to keep Bath Rugby at the Rec, as well as a few other key projects, and to being able to watch the team's successes next year and beyond."
