SCOTLAND international David Denton says that Bath have no wildcards left to play as they look to put back-to-back defeats in the league behind them this weekend.

Despite losses to Leicester and Northampton, the 25-year-old says the feeling in the camp is good and there is an air of determination to put things right when they travel to Wasps in the European Champions Cup.

“It is never easy to lose a game but losing a game at home is even harder,” said Denton.

“Something I have learnt since moving down here is that there are massive expectations from within and from around the town.

“At the end of the day we don’t have any wildcards left and we have got to start winning and keep winning now.

“It is a young team that has a lot of experience and that is invaluable in times like this when, your backs aren’t quite up against the wall, you need to make a change.”

Bath travel to the Ricoh Arena looking to reverse the 16-9 defeat in the league back in October, but Denton, who wasn’t with the club then, says they can’t focus too much on the past.

“They don’t lose a lot of games there but it is a game we have got to go and win,” he added.

“I think it is going to be a great game of rugby to watch and hopefully we come out trumps.

“There is a lot of analysis but we have got to go there and impose ourselves on them.”
