CLUB captain Stuart Hooper is adamant Bath Rugby do not need to go back to the drawing board as they search to arrest their slump in form.

Having reached the Aviva Premiership final last season, they was expectation that Bath would be able to battle on all fronts in 2015-16.

However, they have already been knocked out of Europe and are off the pace in the Premiership, sitting in ninth place.

Mike Ford’s men have now suffered six straight defeats, with the most recent the hardest to swallow, a 15-11 loss at home to West County rivals Gloucester.

Although Hooper admits the team have not been performing at the levels they want to be, there is no need to throw away they blueprint that brought them so much success last term.

“These local derbies are important for us and we don’t want to lose. It was a hard one to take,” said lock Hooper.

“They are not big margins but we can’t hide away from the fact that we have lost these games. It can be frustrating when you get so close but the most important thing is that we learn from every game and we stick together.

“We don’t need to re-write our approach or go away from the plans that brought us success, we just need to learn from what went wrong and make the adjustments.”
