ALEX Jacobs retained the Bowls England Women’s National Senior Singles title this afternoon (Sunday) at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.
The Box bowler lifted the Over 55s singles crown again with a 21-15 victory over Bolton’s Eleanor Benvie (Lancs).
Earlier in the day Jacobs had reached the final after a 21-14 quarter-final victory over Berkshire’s Pat Fowkes (Caverham) and a similar scoreline in the semi-final against Hampshire’s Pamela Lambshead (Cowplain, Havant).
Benvie’s route to the Final included tight victories against Cambridgeshire’s Barbara Clutterbuck and Worcestershire’s Sue Davies.
