JOSH Scott’s Cross Keys Rowde side may be down in sixth place in Division Four but should the villagers, who beat Miller Sports B 2-1 in a nailbiter on Thursday evening, win their three remaining games, they will finishing the campaign in second spot.

Since beating Melksham Forest Community Centre at the start of the December, Scott’s side have put together an eight-match unbeaten run and are now in a position where they could nick the silverware from under the noses of Oakhill and Bath Road, whom they face next Thursday.

Miller, who themselves had only suffered one lost in their previous 11 matches, fell behind on 10 minutes with Glyn Rowles giving Rowde the lead.

Miller fought back and it was game on when James Webb restored parity in the 39th minute.

Rory Collins proved to be the match winner when he scored Rowde’s second on 57 minutes.
