DIVISION Four champions Corsham Centre Youth signed off their season with a 5-0 victory over Bath Road to deny their opponents the runners-up spot.

That will go instead to long-time tenants Oakhill FC, who have had an anxious wait of six weeks to see if results would go for them.

Centre’s win may, on paper, look to have been an easy one but Bath Road made things really hard for the champions and on another day may have had a few goals of their own had they been able to beat the impressive Joe King in the Centre goal.

Darrin Moss put Centre in front on 20 minutes when he headed home a Mark Sharratt cross.

Tim Knight had the chance to get Bath Road back on level term but his penalty was brilliantly kept out by keeper King and shortly after Centre were two goals too the good when a through ball from Ben Thomson picked out Moss who bagged his second of the morning.

Centre extended their lead shortly into the second half, a Thomson corner was headed in by Moss to complete his hat-trick.

James Lye knocked in number four and Liam Ralph bundled the ball over the line to wrap up win number 19 of the season for Pete Ralph’s side.

White Horse B 2 Miller Sports B 4

A TWO-GOAL salvo from Harry Waylan took his tally for the season to 25 but it also helped Miller Sports B claim a 4-2 win away at White Horse B.

Paul Bendell saw his opener for White Horse cancelled out by the first of Waylan’s double, the youngster being set up by Lewis McMullen who was making his first start for Tim Knight’s side.

Waylan provided an assist for his team's second when he laid the ball back to Dan Sibley who fired home his first of the season.

Harry Waylan made it 3-1 with a delightful lob before Simon Hillman got White Horse back in the game with a cool finish that narrowed the gap to the odd goal.

Miller weren’t finished and they finally put the game to bed and secured their 4-2 success thanks to a first-ever goal in adult football from Jamie Hiscocks.
