WITH leaders The Grapes United not playing, Lacock FC missed out on the chance to take over at the top when they were beaten 4-2 by Cannings Rangers.

Rory Davis put Lacock 1-0 and 2-1 up either side of a James Franklin goal for Cannings. But the visitors hit three more through Carl Jacobi, Cameron Lee and Jason Greenidge.

FC Bradford won 5-1 at Club 54 FC, with first half goals from Josh Maguire, with two, Mark Robinson, Jimmy Meade and Ashley Styles. Adil Bakali replied.

Buttercross FC played much of their 4-1 win over Corsham Park FC with ten men after an injury to James Bracey and now find themselves as the new leaders.

Simon McCarthy, Ben Butterfield with two, and Joel Lardner scored for Buttercross. Marc Purcell replied.

Evana Designs beat Trowbridge Wanderers (Sunday) 5-2, with goals from Jonny Telfer, Milo Pearson, three, and Troy Thomas. Rob Elliott and Elliott Hinton replied.

After conceding 61 goals without reply in their opening four games, London Road fared a lot better at home to Cavalier FC – but they still lost 5-0.

Leigh Blanchard’s double sandwiched goals from Andy Holman, Jeremy Wiltshire and Dan Rance to make up Cavalier’s five.
