FC PIG & Whistle built on their excellent draw with Melksham Cosmos last weekend with a 2-1 win at Sutton Benger who like their guests went into their first division clash with four points to their name.
Benger led at the break through a Rhys Merriman effort, but Ashley Fletcher’s penalty and Dan Neale turned things in favour of the Pig in the second half.
After causing an upset by ending North Star’s unbeaten start to the season last weekend, Pheasant FC came back down to earth with a bang when they visited leaders Potterne CFC who, thanks to a 4-0 win, saw their lead at the top over Melksham Cosmos to five points.
Neil Clark, with a hat-trick, and Ben House did the damage for Potterne.
