DIVISION Three leaders Buttercross FC lost out in a nine-goal thriller at home to fellow promotion hopefuls FC Bradford who, despite missing a number of key players in Mark Robinson and Ashley Styles, came out of an entertaining contest winning 5-4.

Charlie Powell had an excellent debut for Bradford setting up goals for Wayne Duggan, Steve Bryant, Josh Maguire and Jimmy Meade.

Steve Rose scored the other Bradford goals with the Buttercross replying through Ben Butterfield (two), Scott Nash and Dan Smith.

Honours were shared at All Cannings where hosts Cannings Rangers twice came from behind to claim a point from their 2-2 draw with Cavalier FC.

James Butler and Jeremy Wiltshire twice put Cavalier in front only for goals from Jason Greenidge and Carl Jacobi to earn Rangers their point.

London Road got on the scoresheet at Corsham Park but Chris Goodall’s goal was a consolation in a match they lost 15-1.

Kevin Bance and Darren Applegate both netted five apiece for Corsham. Jake Loft’s hat trick and a double for Mike Blunsdon made up the 15 and Kevin Bance netted a first-half five timer for Corsham with Mike Blunsdon and Darren Applegate scoring one apiece to give them a 7-0 lead.

Applegate took his tally for the game to five with four more in a second half that also saw Jake Loft net three times and Blunsdon once more to make up the 15.

Evana Designs and Westbury Conservative Club fought out a 1-1 draw. Owen Hunter giving the Cons’ club a first half lead which was wiped out by Milo Pearson’s second half effort for Evana.
