POTTERNE FC, who were not in action on Sunday morning, saw their lead at the top of Division One trimmed to six points by their fierce rivals FC Buscots, whose 4-1 victory over Pheasant FC was their seventh on the bounce.

With three games in hand on the leaders have a real chance of catching them at some stage in the future. Luke Enderby broke the deadlock on 31 minutes, quickly followed by goals from Phil Little and Billy Holdsworth to put Buscots in charge. Nick Oram added number four after Connor Brown had replied for Pheasant.

After suffering defeat in their previous two games Mark Clark’s North Star side got their promotions hopes back on track with a 5-2 win away at Trowbridge Town Supporters Club.

Paul Knight set the Star on their way and Declan Blandford added the other four, his first being a delightful volley from a Mickey Taraskevics cross. John Williams and Jordan Pinder replied for Trowbridge.
