FC BRADFORD remain very much in the Division Three title race after they defeated Cavalier FC 6-0 to move into third place in the standings.

Mark Robinson's three-timer, along with a goal each for Steve Bryant, substitute Ashley Styles and Wayne Duggan made it 6-0.

The wait for London Road’s first win of the season goes on. Their 7-0 defeat at Cannings Rangers was their eight straight loss since the start of the campaign. Sixteen-year-old Jason Greenidge scored a first-half hat-trick, with his dad scoring in the second period to make it a red letter day for the Grennidge family. Ben Trebble with two and Lee Martin’s first for the club made up the winners' tally.

Leading 3-2 after 45 minutes at home to leaders The Grapes United, Corsham Park were on course to cause an upset, but the title favourites responded in style in the second half as they turned things around to claim a 6-3 victory to extend their 100 per cent start to eight matches.

Nick Ridout, twice, Mikki Harrison Emilio Menghini, James Worsley and Stuart Barber shared the goals. Kevin Bance and Darren Applegate’s double had put Corsham 3-2 up after Grapes had led 2-0.

A 4-0 victory for Stonewood Sundays BFC at Evana Designs moved them within two points of leaders The Grapes United and one point ahead of FC Bradford as they battle to keep their promotion challenge alive. Ashley Barnett bagged himself a hat-trick and Mike Hopkins' single sealed the win.

Ten-man Buttercross FC gave a great account of themselves at Trowbridge Wanderers, after taking a first-half lead through Dan Smith they saw James Bracey miss a second-half penalty before Jack Parker struck a late goal to earn Wanderers a 1-1 and deny the Butter boys what would have been a great win.

Chippenham Sunday League side the Castle FC missed out on a place in the quarter-final of the Wiltshire Sunday Cup and a meeting with fellow league side Corsham Centre Youth after they suffered a 3-2 extra time defeat against Swindon League Division Two side KC Globe.

After a goalless first half Rob Mitchell put Castle in front but they were unable to hold out as KC Globe levelled things to take the game to extra time where Globe opened up a 3-1 lead before Jack Fisher scored a second for the Castle, but it was a case of too little, too late as Globe held out to claim a fine win.
