THE Chippenham & District Sunday League knew that before the third-round ties of Wiltshire Sunday Cup they would be guaranteed at least one representative in the last four as league sides FC Buscots and AFC Melksham had been drawn together in their quarter-final tie.

Top-flight Melksham would have been favourites against their first division opponents but it was Buscots who upset the odds thanks to a 3-0 win.

Nick Oram’s sublime 35-yard wonder goal gave Buscots a half-time lead.

Rob Drown drilled home another spectacular 25-yard strike for 2-0 and their place in the last four was confirmed when Oram found the net with his second of the morning with another awesome effort, his 25 yard curler finding the net to put the icing on the cake for Mark Camacho’s side.

Corsham Centre Youth will have to wait until another day to see if they can join Buscots in the last four after their match away at KC Globe was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
