LAST season’s S.K. Fruits Ltd-sponsored Chippenham & District Sunday League Premier Division winners The Castle FC showed just why they lifted the title last term as they staged a remarkable revival after being reduced to 10 men and trailing 2-0 to White Horse A to run out 6-2 winners.
Steve Oakley’s goal on five minutes gave White Horse a deserved lead and things got better for Clive Black’s side when the hosts lost Doug Dickson on 15 minutes to a straight red card.
White Horse double their advantage on 48 minutes when Oakley turned in a Nick Mead cross to make it 2-0.
Horse never looked to be in trouble, however things changed when Matt Tilley scored from the penalty spot on 53 minutes to reduce the arrears.
Five minutes later Castle were back level, Gary Campbell making it 2-2.
Rob Mitchell put Castle ahead in the 74th minute and goals from Nathan Emm, Tom Slater and Jack Fisher in the final nine minutes completed the turnaround.
