IT WAS almost an unlucky 13th match of the season for Division Three leaders The Grapes United as they had to call on all their experience to overturn a 2-1 deficit at lowly Trowbridge Wanderers before turning things around to preserve their 100 per cent record thanks.

Tom Mann gave Wanderers the lead with an amazing strike from inside his own half but parity was restored when Nick Ridout scored for the Grapes.

But the leaders trailed at the interval, Carl Mackness following up a shot to head home to give Wanderers a 2-1 lead.

The Grapes came out well in the second period and went 4-2 ahead through goals from Nathan Walker, James Worsley and Lee Fielding before Wanderers rallied late on and got back into the contest via a second of the game from Mackness.

B ut Grapes were able to hold on for their thirteenth straight win with a 4-3 success.

Cannings Rangers were indebted to their flourishing youngster Jason Greenidge, who was the star of the show in his team's 3-1 victory away at Cavalier FC.

It was the 16-year-old who gave Cannings the lead, which he doubled with his second of the game to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Cavalier dragged themselves back into the contest when Carl Ledbury reduced the arrears before Stewart Beaven had the chance to restore Cannings two-goal cushion but he missed from the penalty spot.

And it was left to Greenidge to complete victory for his team when he bagged his and Cannings' third of the morning.

FC Bradford kept their hopes of finishing in the top two alive but Wayne Duggan’s side had to dig deep before securing a 4-2 home success over Buttercross.

Bradford’s captain headed them in front but his goal was cancelled out when after giving away a needless free kick, keeper Morgan Williams was beaten by Scott Nash’s slight flick on at the near post.

Steve Bryant regained the lead for his team and a couple of minutes later, Robin Walker’s good work on the ball and lay off to Ashley Styles gave Bradford a 3-1 half-time lead.

Bradford’s keeper Morgan Williams kept his team in the game with a number of fantastic saves as Buttercross had their hosts on the back foot and against the run of play, Bradford stole a fourth after a good break from their own half was finished off by Robin Walker for 4-1.

If it wasn’t for keeper Williams and his second half super show, things could have been a lot different for Bradford, who conceded their second at the death when Jim Flynn scored from the penalty spot for the Butter boys.

With their own pitch at Leafy Lane failing a late pitch inspection, Corsham Park and their opponents Stonewood Sundays (BFC) quickly arranged for the match to played at Yatton Road.

And it was the hosts who came out on top with a 3-1 victorythat keeps them very much in the race for a top two finish.

In a game that saw Stonewood's Dan Lardner sent off for for dissent after just 20 minutes, the ten men took the lead on 35 minutes, Ashley Barnett taking the ball past a number of defenders before firing a well-placed shot beyond the keeper for 1-0.

Stonewood changed to 4-3-2 formation for the second half and on 55 minutes, they added a second, Kris Beasley finding space in front of goal to lash home to double the lead.

Beasley and Barnett teamed up and allowed Barnett to run and cross the ball back into Beasley in the box, who calmly placed the ball into the back of the net at 75mins.

Corsham Park got a consolation goal thee minutes from the end, Darren Applegate finding the net.
