AFC MELKSHAM completed a hat-trick of wins over White Horse A for ths season courtesy of a dramatic last-second winner at a sodden Christie Miller.

In the only game to take place in the Premier Division, the hosts eventually stole all three points with a 2-1 victory.

With the deadlock seemingly rolling into the interval, it took a moment of quality to open the scoring, Lewis Porter getting on the end of Dale Rowland through ball and putting the visitors ahead with a looping half-volley that gave keeper Nick Dibden no chance.

The hosts' direct first half approach had proved unfruitful but a more patient second half display saw them turn the game on its head and it took just seven second half minutes for them to level things up, James Dark finishing neatly from Bobby Mitchell’s assist.

As the second period developed, AFC Melksham began to take charge but were grateful to the woodwork as Amin Bellazrak’s first touch cannoned back off an upright to deny Horse the lead for the second time in the morning.

Neither team seemed satisfied with a point but it was the hosts that began to ask the greater questions.

An eight minute spell saw them hit the woodwork twice, Horse keeper Andy Ladd forced into a point-blank double save whilst Dark prodded wide with the goal at his mercy.

Dark’s topsy-turvy morning was to finish with the ultimate delight however as he raced through in the dying seconds and found the back of the net in dramatic fashion
