SECOND Division Bremhill View FC will take on near-neighbours Goatacre CC FC in the final of this season’s Ken Clarke-sponsored WG Parr Trophy after the Calne-based side sensationally dumped top flight Corsham CC Wildcats and trophy favourites out of the competition at the semi-final stage.

Bremhill, who had already suffered a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Wildcats in the Knockout Cup, went into the tie as underdogs, but rose to the occasion and turned in one of their best performances of the season to claim a thumping 5-1 win.

Aaron Hopkins and a Tom Foley own goal but Bremhill two-up before Leigh Rogers pulled a goal back for the Wildcats.

Bremhill had the chance to restore their two-goal advantage but failed to do so when Steve Allison missed from the penalty spot.

Bremhill’s top scorer Kieron Gleed extended his team lead to 3-1 with his 37th goal of the campaign.

Allison atoned for his penalty missed when he made it 4-1 and their place in the final was cemented when Mark Dolman netted to complete a five-star performance for Ben Redford’s side.
