WITH Grapes United already crowned Division Three champions, the race for the runners-up spot has come down to a two horse race between FC Bradford and Stonewood Sundays (BFC).

The latter were not in action at the weekend but Wayne Duggan’s Bradford hosted Trowbridge Wanderers in what was their final game of the campaign and they can only sit and wait to see if a 7-2 win over Matt Rusling’s side will be good enough to earn them second place.

Josh Maguire, Ashley Styles and Harry Hamlin’s goals helped Bradford to a 3-1 interval lead, with Kieran Ramsey scoring for Wanderers.

Rob Elliott scored a second for Wanderers but like Hamlin’s first half effort, it was little more than a consolation as a second from Styles, two from Charlie Powell and a Steve Bryant single saw Bradford finish the season win a win.

Division Four champions The Grapes remain on course for the perfect season; a 3-1 win at the Conigre over Westbury Conservative Club saw them collect an 18th straight win and with just two matches remaining, there is no reason why they can’t make it 20 out of 20.

Stuart Barber’s double and a Nick Ridout goal put Grapes three-up before Dave Connelly pulled one back for the Cons’ Club but by then, the points were already in the bag.
