CORSHAM Centre Youth are the new leaders of Division Two after they made the most of former table-toppers Bremhill View lack of a league fixture due to their WG Parr Trophy cup final appearance.

Centre were due to travel to Buckley Barracks for a meeting with Oakhill but at the eleventh hour, the game was switched to Meriton Avenue, where Pete Ralph’s side eased to a 6-1 win.

Josh Bright bagged himself a hat-trick whilst Simon Gray, Lewis McCarron and a brilliant own goal from Robbie Burton made up the Centre’s half-dozen, with their win being spoilt by the dismissal of Adam Shipman.

Clint Couzens replied for Oakhill. An in-form Bath Road FC side followed up their midweek success over White Horse (Sunday) B with a 4-1 victory over The Mallard FC that saw them stretch their unbeaten run to 12 matches.

And although they won’t gain a top-two finish, they may yet have a say in who wins the title as they have still to play Centre and Bremhill View.

Bath Road fell behind to a Chris Edwards goal but strikes from James Hernandez and Jonny Ingram turned things around before the break to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

A first-ever league goal for Dan King made it 3-1 and Lee Grant sealed the victory for Luke Jones' side with his ninth goal of the campaign.

Melksham Forest Community Centre may have suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Rowdy Cow Rowde but Steve Wakefield’s side remain just above the drop zone as once again, other results have gone their way.

Jamie Wallen’s own goal had given the Foresters hope of getting something from the game however goals from Matt Lever and Cory Smith sealed Rowde’s eleventh win of the season.

Old Road FC’s 4-1 loss against Worton & Cheverell was their 13th defeat of the season but with three games remaining, they could yet beat the drop if they could conjure up at least one win from those matches.

Against Worton they went one-nil up through Nathan Holmes before a Rich Ferris own goal got them back on level terms.

Kyle McKenna put through his own net to give Worton the lead before Chris O’Donovan and Kyle Davies, with his 29th goal of the season, completed a victory that keeps Danny Williams' team in third place in the standings.
