SECOND division leaders Bremhill View were looking for a quick-fire league double over Rowdy Cow Rowde when the sides met on Thursday evening just four days after goals from Reece Allison and Ben Redford earned them 2-0 win away from home.
Rowde could have provided a banana-skin to Bremhill's hopes of finishing as champions but like the first meeting, the hosts kept their title hopes alive thanks to a 4-1 win.
Allison drove home a stunning 25-yard effort to give Bremhill the lead and Keiron Gleed made it 2-0 prior to the interval.
A second from Allison made it 3-0 before Gleed increased the scoreline to 4-0 with his second of the night, which took his tally for the season to 33, just six away from top-scorer Matt Minnis.
Jamie Wallen’s free-kick from the halfway line gave Rowde their consolation.
Corsham Centre Youth, like rivals Bremhill escaped what was a potential banana-skin to their hopes of finishing top of the table with a comfortable 3-0 win against Bath Road.
Mark Sharratt goal gave Centre the lead on 20 minutes and 10 minutes later, Josh Bright made it 2-0.
Bath Road had the chance to reduce the deficit but Tom Sigee had his penalty saved by Sam Thomson and then a second from youngster Bright, who latched onto an excellent through ball from Lewis McCarron before netting, sealed Centre’s 18th win of the season.
