EVANA Designs were celebrating their first win in Division Three since last October.

A 5-2 victory for Paul Revening’s side at Sands Lane Rowde over Warminster Wanderers not only saw them end a 16 match winless run, it also gave Revening his first win as the Evana manager.

Goals from Ant Lamb, Troy Thomas and Troy Hawkes saw Evana open up a 3-0 lead before goals for Martin Perkins and Dave Raine gave Wanderers hope at the end of what for a long time was one-sided first half.

The first goal in the second period was always going to be important and it was Evana who managed to get it with Jacob Applegate putting his team back in the driving seat and victory was confirmed by Pete Jackson who fired home to round of what was a five star performance from Revening’s men.

After suffering a 14-0 mauling against FC St George the previous weekend, newcomers 91-92 FC turned things around when they hosted Cavalier FC and they will be overjoyed at a 4-2 triumph that saw them hand manager Michael Coll a morale boosting win.

Ben Forester’s opener for 91-92 was cancelled out by Adam Bewley, before goals from Westbury United manager James Goddard and Coll himself put his team 3-1 up.

Roger Wiltshire reduced the arrears for Cavalier but they couldn’t grab a third and it was left to Forester who had got 91-92 off to their good start to seal victory for his team with his second and his teams fourth of the morning.

After hitting 14 goals in their first league outing last weekend, FC St George were in the goals for a second successive weekend. Mike Payne’s Warminster-based outfit ran out 9-2 victors against fellow newcomers Calne United.

Matt Lang scoring both goals for Calne his first of the morning gave his team the lead before Bradley Edwards leveled matters for St George who saw Craig Sheppard score a quartet on his debut.

Dave Statton, with two, and Dave Trollope and Stuart Green also opened their accounts for the season to lead their team to another convincing victory.

A 4-1 victory for league newcomers Fox & Hounds (Warminster) at home to Forest AFC saw them open their account since moving from the now-defunct Frome Sunday League.

James Wase helped himself to a brace with a goal each for Jake Mansbridge and Lyke Ichiebuka making up the winners quartet. Billy Hitchcock scored his first ever Sunday league goal to give Forest their consolation.

White Horse B twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Semington FC.

Semington led 1-0 at the interval courtesy of Rich Allum who volleyed home from 10 yards following a corner.

Chris Storey restored parity for White Horse only for Rich Allum to regain the lead for Semington with another stunning goal, this time finding the top corner of the net from a brilliantly struck 20 yard free kick.

With time running out White Horse grabbed a fortunate equaliser, Dave Jones' 20-yard strike taking a wicked deflection to hand Chris Webber’s side their fourth point on the season and deny Semington their first win.

Martin Johnson was star of the show for Dursley Arms in their 4-2 victory at home over Westbury Conservative Club.

Dursley raced to a commanding lead with Johnson scoring a quick-fire treble. Jake Hiscocks added a fourth for Joe Kirkpatrick’s side before Frankie McEntegart and Lee Causon replied for the Cons’ Club.
