HAVING finished as respective second division winners and runners up last term, Bremhill View and Corsham Centre Youth renewed their acquaintances in Division One.

For the first time in three meetings the Centre got the better of their opponents, a 3-1 win for Pete Ralph’s side also saw Bremhill suffer their first loss in 25 games.

Centre took the game to Bremhill and after 20 minutes Adam Casserly’s corner saw James Lye head back across goal for Josh Bright to crash home for 1-0 and a deserved lead.

On 35 minutes the favour was returned as Shaun Paradise chased back and won the ball releasing Bright who square to Lye to make it 2-0.

Bremhill upped their game in the second half and had the ball in the net after 60 minutes, this was ruled out for offside. Bremhill were then awarded a penalty after keeper Nick Gingell mistimed a challenge but George Bettles missed the ensuing penalty.

Centre’s midfield dropped deeper onto the back four of Leask, Tutty, Hodgkinson and Shackleford allowing Bremhill to press on and in the 83 minute Tom Sigee pulled a goal back.

Any hope of snatching a draw was short lived as a few minutes later 16 year old Shaun Paradise wrong-footed the keeper to strike home the all important third and match sealing goal for the Centre.

Miller Sports A staged the comeback of the day.

From 3-0 down away at Pheasant FC, Mike Stevens' side turned the game on it’s head to claim a 5-3 win.

A Brently Roberts double and a James Webb own goal put Pheasant three up in the opening 20 minutes. Alex Shaftoe started the Miller fight back and Ade Bridge scored from a corner to narrow the gap prior to half time and they squared things up early in the second period, Paul Walker scoring to make it 3-3.

At this point it was all Miller and only a few fine stops from Pheasant keeper Del Llewellyn kept them in thee game, before he was beaten by Dave Jenkins bullet header and a second for Jenkins who scrambled thee ball home from close range to seal an amazing win for Miller.
